I was putting this gray over what was a white gloss kitchen door. I wanted to paint the white door gray. I used just a plain paint roller. The first coat was painfully thin barely covering my prepared surface. I gave this oil based paint half a day to a day to dry between coats for best coverage. This oil based paint does NOT like to be rushed. Give each coat ample time to dry or you will be undoing any priory coverage using this paint. The second coat of this gray paint was a good bit better regards coverage. It was hard to tell what the original color was the coverage had so improved. Generally speaking the third coat is the charm but you might have some break through that requires touch up It's easier to just apply that fourth coat if needed.Once all coats are applied the gray is deep and rich with a high gloss shine. This paint has a bit of a the strong oil paint smell but I've smelled worse. I don't bother with clean up when using oil paint. I just toss all the disposable stuff away. This paint will let you paint both sides of a standard door opening. I paint using gloves that I can just throw away when completed. I actually painted three doors in my house this color. It's just the gray door painted in my main kitchen shows up best in pictures. This is FIVE Star rated paint in my opinion as it did everything a quality gloss oil based paint should do.If you would have told me the nasty, rust-flecked, gray-yellow-almond, 40-year-old fridge my landlord dollied in from the local thrift store just needed a good sanding and 2 coats of $12 paint to be presentable, I wouldn't have believed you. I can't believe I lived with that ugly thing in my space for so long. She's a beauty. This paint dries fairly quickly for an enamel and has an intense odor. You should use it outside. I do not have an outside, so a chemical respirator was a necessity. The texture is creamy and ready to roll on. Used a foam roller straight onto the fridge, then left for a few hours while the air purifier did its thing. There was a slight unobtrusive odor for the rest of the day.The finish is very durable. It can be scrubbed, scraped, knocked with magnets, etc. with no issue. Overall very happy with cost and coverage, couldn't have been easier!I bought this to paint some old tackle boxes after I had primed them.It went on very smooth without clumping.I honestly can't speak to durability even though I gave it five stars cuz I just did this.If I remember and it is not durable I will revisit this review.I live out in the country and I depend upon a large butane tank to store my fuel. In these hot Texas summer months my silver painted butane tank gets so hot that it causes the pressure release valve to open sending expensive gas out into the open air. After painting my tank with White Rustoleum paint my tank no longer overheats and this saved me a ton of money on my butane bill. I highly recommend this product. *note: for best results paint your tank on a hot day!Received product and it was what I expected. Rustoleum in colors is getting to be harder to find in the hardware stores.Liked it. Went on easy. Durable in heat and bright sunGreat for price 2 cans are included!!!Four stars are for the shipping, and packing. Received two quarts cans they are I such a damaged condition not sure can open and use , then resealing maybe impossible.Get this!!! big box with deflated big bubble rap. Not kidding..I am by no means a professional painter. I just needed a decent paint to redo my dining table and I stumbled upon this specific paint in a random blog on the internet and decided to give it a try. It turned out pretty nice (with a couple of screw-ups on my end...), so I can wholeheartedly recommend this paint. The delivery was super speedy, it arrived a couple of days after the order without Amazon Prime or anything.Looks like it could be sprayed right out of the can. Excellent adhesion to bare metal and great finish when dried 24 hrsA very good quality paint, used it for restoring a classic Mercedes car. On areas where there was surface rust applied Rusty Metal Primer first of the same manufacturer & then applied this enamel. On places where there was no rust applied this enamel directly. Very satisfied with the product and would highly recommend it.As describedMy only problem is that the can was damaged fortunately the paint didn’t come out
