The genuine Wet Brush is the best detangling brush I have ever found for my long, fine hair, so I have bought 3 of them...and once, I was burned. Despite the listing's statement that it was a genuine Wet Brush, I was sent a fake. It looked exactly like the real brushes in the beginning, packaging and all, but the bristles quickly began dropping down (so the top of the bristle is level with the cushion and useless) or pulling out completely. I have two other brushes that I've used daily for 4 years and they've never had that problem. As far as I could tell, during the ordering process the fake was indistinguishable from the genuine brush, so go ahead and order it...but once you receive it, test it: give one of the bristles a firm push down, then a firm tug out. If it goes in or comes out, it's not the real thing: return it!The genuine brush is great: very little pulling and yanking, great for brushing kids hair with a minimum of anguish. It's the best brush, wet or dry! I keep one in my shower, and another dry one on the dresser. The real ones last years: I have two that have stood up to daily use for 5 years and look great...and one fake with half the bristles gone.
