Strong and sturdy bristles! Nice hold handle! Feel great on my scalp.I’ve been a big fan of boar bristle brushes for years. Once you get used to them there’s really no going back. When I left my ridiculously expensive brush at the gym I thought it might be a good thing to have one I wouldn’t miss so much, so here I am. It took me awhile to stop crying. This brush doesn’t work for me at all, but is sure to suit others. The good news is: if you’re new to boar bristles this might be a good place to start. The bristles are soft. If you put your palm on the tops they bend. It seems better for shortish or thinnish hair. The tufts are close together and fairly dense. How that works out is, if you have dense or thick hair you’ll have a hard time getting it through your hair most likely. On to the not so much: the handle is ridiculously light. My old brush had a plastic handle and I do believe it had more heft and better balance. I’m really not sure what the plastic inlay on the handle is about, but it’s not needed. My hair is about waist length and about medium thickness. I have to work to get this through to my scalp, which is a whole new experience for me. I have generally found it easier to section it off. With this brush I have to clip it or it simply doesn’t work out. Even with all that work I don’t get that wonderful feeling that my scalp has been massaged. I miss it. Plus, there’s static, too. That’s new.The end result for me is this brush is staying in the gym bag until I find another, then it gets retired. I’ll keep looking for one I’ll enjoy doing my evening brush out with.I hope this is helpful to someone. Thank you.I expected the brush's bristles to be much firmer. I have to brush my hair a few times to get it looking the way I want. Also, initially when I first started using the brush, a few bristles fell off. I think the brush would better suit a person with thinner hair. For many, many years I have been a fan and purchaser of Kent combs. Superb quality! So I thought I'd try one of their Boar Bristle hair brushes. Although It arrived promptly I was alarmed the first time I used it. The bristles started coming out and appeared to be made of plastic....not boar bristles. In addition, when using the brush, my hair experienced "static cling". Guess I should have asked what the ratio of plastic vs. boar bristles were used. I will go back to ordering the boar bristle brushes made in Germany (always good quality). The boars have perfect stiffness, neither soft nor brittle, which is what I wanted. It works well with thick hair.I've been using it for about two years and it's still in good condition and did not shed much of the bristle.Es un muy buen cepilloSeveral of the bristles fell out within days of using this product. I do overall, love the way it reacts with my hair.I did contact the company and they were excellent with their customer service approach, they asked me for pictures of the fallen bristles, and promptly refunded the entire cost.No one was ever able to solve the mystery of the fallen brush bristles.....I guess it was just a defective product?BestI got this brush because I was not liking the plastic bristle one I have, this one has far more bristles and gives your hair have more volume as it brushes between more hairs, its very nice to hold and does the job I expected it to, I would say the bristles are soft and if you have thick hair you might have trouble brushing through to your scalp but for me it was ok as I have fine hair. pleased with purchase. Was after a stiff brush to manage my natural 4c hair... Well made and nice size but Yet again bristles very soft not suitable for my purposes. Its really challenging to buy brushes online really needed to feel the stiffness before purchase.I bought this because daughter purloined my old one, this old one was about 30 years old and still going strong, the bristles are firmer than the new one but not really a problem for me. Now to the review, it is a really comfortable shape for the hand it is easily controlled the bristles as previously mentioned are softer but this is perfect for my thinning hair and gives my scalp a lovely rub. I have tried the "modern" brushes that are plastic/rubber bristles and I feel like they are tearing my scalp off. In conclusion the brush does what I need it to do, it may not be perfect for other people with thicker hair but that would be what you would get the plastic/rubber ones for wouldn't it. I would be happy to recommend this brush. It’s a nice brush and it does distribute the oils in my hair evenly. I can’t tell if it is 100% boar hair but I’ve noticed in just these first two weeks a lot of the bristles are coming out so I don’t see this being a long term use. I also notice a lot more of my hair on the brush compared to my tangle teaser that doesn’t take out as much of my hair. Although I feel like this brush would deal better with knots in my hair. It’s good but I feel like there could be better.Good shaped handle top quality materials ideal for my hair comfortable to use
